Events

Together with the BIH QUEST Center for Responsible Research, the Einstein Foundation regularly hosts events to stimulate the debate on research quality

Upcoming events

  • Evaluating Researchers: Ambitions and Realities
Panel discussion, 11/1/24, 2-3 pm (CET), Berlin and online Register here

The urgent need for reform in the current scientific evaluation system—largely driven by quantitative metrics—is widely acknowledged. This is particularly evident given the extensive and impressive membership of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA). Yet, how do we go about it? What progress has been made in turning these ambitions into reality thus far? This event will be made possible by the partnership of the Einstein Foundation Award for Promoting Quality in Research, the BIH QUEST Center for Responsible Research and the Berlin University Alliance.

  • Early Career Award 2024: Meet the Finalists - live
Presentations, 11/5/2024, 3-5 pm (CET), online Register here

Join us to celebrate groundbreaking projects by early career researchers that enhance research rigor, reliability, robustness, and transparency. For the 2024 Award, an international jury will select up to six finalists from around 100 global applications. Finalists will pitch their projects live, and the jury will choose the winner who will receive €100,000.
